FAQ

To help assist you with common questions we receive, here are the answers to some important questions.

Q: What is the difference between the Standard Service level and the Premium Service level?

A: Our Standard Service level includes scoring updates that are applied the morning after an NFL game has been played. The Premium Service level includes scoring that is updated within minutes of the NFL action. This allows you to enjoy the benefit of seeing how your games are going as it happens. Please note that because of the fast paced and dynamic nature of NFL games, the live scoring results are unofficial. They are meant as a guideline. The statistics are double-checked by our statistics provider after all the games for that day have been completed. Once the statistics pass the quality control process of the provider, they provide us with a complete summary of all statistics. Once we receive this update, all leagues at both service levels are updated. Please be aware that game scores can, and often do, change slightly from the live scoring value to the morning after value because of scoring adjustments made by the statistics provider to ensure accuracy.

Q: I received an email invitation to my league from the commissioner. What do I need to do with this?

A: The invitation link is a special link that allows our system to identify you as a league member. The invitation remembers what team you are assigned to, and needs to know who you are. Click on the invitation, or copy and paste the link into a browser address window, and you are taken to the fflcommish.com website. You need to login to assign your user account to your team. If you already have an fflcommish.com user account, enter the user name and password, and you will be accepted and logged into your league. If this is your first visit to fflcommish.com, you will need to create a new account. This new account will then be assigned to your team, and you will be accepted to the league.

Please note, that you should only click the invitation link once. After you have linked your user account to your team, you should not use the invitation link again. You should instead go directly to the fflcommish website and login. If you want to save a bookmark to the site, it's best to save a bookmark to your league's homepage, which can be found at:

http://www.fflcommish.com/League/LeagueHomePage.aspx

Finally, do not share your invitation link with anyone If you have any problems, or if another team owner needs access to the league, the commissioner should send them their own invite. Sharing your invitation may result in assigning your team to another team owner.

Further information is available in our online help files.

Q: My commissioner sent an invitation to me, but I never received it. What should I do?

A: Some of the large email providers like AOL and Earthlink are very aggressive about protecting you from spam and unsolicited emails. Sometimes the sophisticated programs they use to detect spam may mistake the invitations for spam. The first thing you should do is to see if the invitation has been moved to a special filtered folder. If you still cannot find it you can still accept your invitation. First you will need to create a user account, if you have not done so already. Once you login you will be warned that you are not a member of any leagues. There is a link at the bottom of the page to accept your invitation. If no invitations are found for you, contact your commissioner to verify your invitation email address and resend the invite. If you do not have any invitations available to you on the find invites page it is because one was never created for you, it was created for another email address, or a different user has accepted your invitation. Contact your commissioner.

Q: My league uses team defenses/special teams. Why can't I see them available on the transaction pages?

A: You need to select the "Team Concept" option on the Roster Positions page in the commissioner menu in order to see team defenses. League that use Independent Defensive Players (IDP) would choose D without selecting the Team Concept.

Once you click the Team Concept option, and update, team defenses will be available to you.

Q: We completed our draft off-line, and now I want to enter the rosters. How do I set the team rosters?

A: From the Commissioner menu, select the Transactions option. Select the team you wish to enter the players for. Select the players for that teams roster from the list of players on the right side where it says Add Free Agent(s) To Roster. You can select multiple players by holding the Control key as you click on each player. This will allow you to enter the entire roster at once. Then click the Submit button. You will be taken to a confirmation page. Simply click the confirm button, and the roster will be updated. Repeat for each team.

Further information is available in our online help files.

Q: How do I use the live draft online?

A: We have a great Flash online draft room that your league can use to conduct your league draft online. We have put together a help page just for the draft software to help you with your draft. View Draft Room Help.

Q: How do I reset my league for a new season?

A: Resetting your league for a new season is simple. Just go to the Commissioner 'League Setup' page. Near the bottom of the page under the heading 'Clear All League Records' is a button labeled 'Reset All Records'. Check the checkbox to confirm you want to do this and press the button. This will reset all of your records and transactions from the system. It will preserve your rules and rosters. If you want to clear your rosters, just go to the Transactions page and delete the players you want to remove from the teams. For keeper leagues you can delete all of the non-keeper players.

How do I remove a league from my user account?

A: If you have leagues you no longer participate in listed in your leagues menu, you can remove them from the user account page. You can get to that page by click on the 'Logged in' tab at the top of any page once you are logged in.

How do I specify a flex position?

A: Using the Commissioner Roster Positions page, set your roster and lineup rules. For example a starting lineup that requires:

  • 1 QB
  • 2 RB
  • 2 WR
  • 1 TE
  • 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE)
  • 1 PK
  • 1 DEF
