What Rookie Running Back will have the biggest impact in 2005?

J.J. Arrington, Arizona Cardinals –
Where am I?  My typewriter is making funny noises, needs some oil, my football mind needs a shave.  It’s June and my boss is telling me to write about the football.  I’ve just returned from a month on the east coast.  I just made a ton on Afleet Alex in the Preakness & the Belmont in spite of that screaming woman whose part of the Afleet Alex ownership group.  That  train wreck was sitting 10 rows ahead of me at Pimlico.  Not only did she scream when her horse was running but apparently she had vested interest in the other races as well because she was screaming all day.  I kept asking my good friend Ralph “Cap Gun” Jones if she needed a paramedic.   She woke me from my customary 2nd and 3rd race nap with one of her shrieks, causing me to jump out of my chair and yell “attagirl” in her direction.   Her screeches had penetrated my dreams as I woke up thinking it was 1968 and my wife at the time just won big on Stage Door Johnny and I was a little bent and kept yelling “attagirl” at her and whoever else I looked at all day.  I’m back in St. Paul and trying to get this football brain back on the trolley.   The boss is telling me to pick the rookie running back who will have the biggest impact.  I like that whippersnapper running the pigskin for the Arizona Cardinals, J.J. Arrington, he’s ducky.  A floor flusher that’ll shock the world of the football.

Ronnie Brown, Miami Dolphins-
Picking the best rookie running back is like lickin’ butter from a knife, it’s Ronnie Brown.  He’s the all-fired, almighty, aces high Miami Dolphins half back.  Miami was in running back hell last year going through running backs like cigarettes on a cold wet night on the trail.    .  He’s the real deal, fast, big, good hands, everything you need, he’ll make hay while the sun shine’s.   Rookie running backs, unlike wide receivers and quarterback’s tend to make a bigger splash their rookie years and Ronnie Brown will make a nice 2nd running back on your roster.   What about Ricky Williams?  Yeah, what about him? He’s out the first four weeks.  He’s more than likely going to get traded and he has to make it through the summer without his beloved Mary Jane who he apparently just broke up with.  What’s Ricky going to do when he’s sitting on his deck, staring into the ocean and he sees Mary Jane walking on the beach, not invite her to sit with him?   Ronnie Brown has no relationship problems.  He gets along well with the bellies, the sweeps, the screens and certainly the goal line.   He’s going to be hitting those holes three ways from Sunday.
